Can we predict the future? Can occurrences or happenings foretell an event? The press would have you believe that one news item indicates the direction of the world in attaining peace, harmony, election results, national health, and general future life.
Never do we hear from these harbingers of fortune the importance of individual determination. We are able to direct our lives. We are able to will ourselves to work in positive directions both alone and with groups. It is not necessary to tear down a building in order to rehab it; although many developers do thinking it will be easier. Often the result is less than before. Individual good thoughts carried out in good behaviors to others are powerful. We don’t know the future, but I ‘will’ for a better future for my children and grandchildren and those coming after. I cannot abide the constant expression of hatred and lies and unkindness spewing from groups and some politicians. I hate even more that the press covers hatred far more than it covers love. Why? The simple reason is one we all understand. Horrible events and language spark adrenaline resulting in more readership and viewing. My thought is to support cogent understanding of societal problems and careful implementation of changes that will address all issues of justice, fairness, economic freedom, and fiscal reasonableness.
