The pandemic was not discussed not even by those older. The night felt normal and I for one was pleased. I so want normal in my daily life.
Despite my initial disdain exclaimed to my friend who suggested this reading, I have found inspiration from some of the readings. You know, when you look at life through a different lens, clarity often emerges.
So many stories. I could write a crime story around each event, even if it is a happy story or I could write a philosophical argument supporting the production of joy walking in my neighborhood gives.
I will write some fiction today if for no other reason than to calm my thoughts. The brain is a wily creature, I think, and often out of control. I will write and while doing so, cause some direction in my gray matter. Calmness is a better background for decision making.
Don’t question why I don’t just accept a good cover by a good designer. Remember it is my work and I must be true to it.
The spark is back. I am writing my eighth book, while waiting for the art for my seventh book's cover. August and September were such busy months with vacations, family events, garden changes, plumbing problems dropping my dining room ceiling with a flush of water....
I believe reading and writing are my sedatives and painkillers.
Constant socialization often tires me. But I do know how to balance, how to moderate my activities, how to balance life so I may continue to appreciate living. Stay healthy and balanced.
Once you see a man 200 feet in the air and the pine swaying from a branch removed leaving my breath caught in fear, you cannot forget the visual image. Noe was up on the tree, hanging by his climbing belt with ropes clipped to the next tree as a security in case of a fall. He was in that tree for four hours. It is dangerous work.
